Florida Helmet Law For Motorcycles

Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, and Palm Coast, Florida

One thing that sets our state apart from many others is that you will see motorcyclists and their passengers often riding without protective helmets. The law states that in order to do so, the motorcyclist or passenger must be older than the age of 21 and must carry $10,000 in medical insurance coverage. If you are riding or operating a motorcycle without a helmet, make sure you are covered: law enforcement officers may want to check your insurance card or your policy or declarations page from a recognized health insurance provider.

Florida motorcycle law also states that eye protection must be worn at all times unless the motorcycle has a windshield. If you have ever ridden a motorcycle, you will probably have no problem following this law as eye protection is a necessity! Contact Capital Partners Insurance to make sure you are properly covered and enjoy our friendly roads.
